Meaning of universe is 42

THE WRITER OF the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams has turned out to have been correct when he guessed that the answer to life the universe and everything was 42.
Well at least he was when the number is applied to the mass of the Milky Way galaxy.
Boffins have spent ages in deep thought and worked out that our galaxy weighs three times 10 to the power of 42 kilograms - a number written as 3 followed by 42 zeroes.
This number becomes very important to boffins who what to calculate such important concepts such as the nature of dark matter, what happens to light when it passes down the centre of two black holes or how many angels can be fitted on the head of a pin.
According to AP, Professor Freeman, an astrophysicist with Mt Stromlo Observatory and the Australian National University's Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics in Canberra presented his findings to Astronomical Society of Australia's annual meeting in Sydney.
Of course it does not supply the very important 'question' to the answer, which the boffins are fairly sure is not "how many roads must a man walk down?" or "what do you get when you multiple seven by nine?"
The news would have amused Adams. When asked if he chose the number 42 because of some occult cabbalistic significance, Adams said "no it was just a gag."
