Aunt Joan

Patton, Joan Elaine

It is with broken hearts we celebrate the home going of our dear mother, Joan Elaine Patton, on December 31, 2013. Born on May 26, 1934 in Karsdale, Annapolis County, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Cleaves and Edwin Hudson. Her life was centered around God and her 7 children. She will be greatly missed by her children: Donna (Doug) Dexter, Liverpool; Vicki Patton, River John; Toni (Danny) Carter, Bible Hill; Monty (Sherryl) Patton, Brookfield; Mark Patton, Harmony; Megan Cameron, Moncton; Parri Patton, Bible Hill and 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Olive (Roy) Cleaves and half-brothers Greg Hudson and Dave (Monica) Hudson. She was predeceased by her mother, father, stepmother, Helen (Irving) Hudson, brothers Buddy Hudson, Rick Hudson, Philip Hudson and her stepsister, Beverly Phinney. Special thanks to the staff at Karlaine Place, Cedarstone Enhanced Care and the Palliative Care Team for their excellent and compassionate care during the last years of our mother’s life. Visitation will be at the Peoples Church, 15 Elm Street, Truro on January 2 from 6-8pm. Funeral service will also take place at the Peoples Church on January 3 at 11am. Family flowers only.
